As we all know, the current situation is that the UK will leave the European Union on the 31st October 2019. Various reports have raised concerns around what will happen with medications and medical consumables, especially if the UK leaves without an agreed trade deal.
Taking this into account, it may be worthwhile checking with your GP practice / pharmacist if the medications that you are prescribed are anticipated to be readily available and, likewise, with any medical items you use.
If you purchase any medical items privately, for example continence pads, you may wish to check with the company you purchase from that their stocks and supply chain is robust and will not be affected when the UK exits the European Union.
